Today, we’re looking forward to sharing with you, Love in the Afternoon!! It is an Audrey Hepburn Inspired Engagement Styled Shoot in Historic Downtown Winter Garden Florida!!!! The creativity and eye catching details shot by Lilly & Lilly Photography make us so excited to inspire you with this session!
From the Photographer: Lilly & Lilly Photography
Our styled engagement shoot was inspired by the timeless feminine spirit of film and fashion icon, Audrey Hepburn. As you’ll see our model, Erin Colleen, a longtime friend of our photographer, David Lilly of Lilly and Lilly Photography has a striking resemblance to Audrey Hepburn. Styling a fun, flirty shoot has been something the two would often joke about, and one we decided to bring to reality!
With all things Audrey in mind, Katie Scully of Blue Ribbon Wedding & Event Design strolled the streets of Historic Downtown Winter Garden to find the perfect outdoor setting for an afternoon picnic, Newton Park, a beautifully appointed formal setting, The Attic Door, and a charming Bed & Breakfast, The Historic Edgewater Inn (don’t miss the original red 1926 Otis elevator). While in Winter Garden, she was lured into Kate Lyn’s Boutique, by the beautiful window displays, inside she found the most lovely dresses, reminiscent of the 50s and Audrey’s style. This little town was full of treasures for our shoot! Model, Erin even found the most beautiful hand crafted necklace with a hand painted porcelain pendent created by the artisans of Woodstone Jewelry, right along Plant Street in Winter Garden. With Erin’s ensemble complete, Katie visited Calvin Clearley, at Cloak & Dapper where she selected the truly dapper knickerbocker striped shirt, raw denim jeans, Chippewa oxfords, Throne watch, and vintage suit to outfit our male model, David Gonska. Wish Vintage Rentals was an obvious next stop, there Lisa Malott showed us her vast inventory of vintage pieces, from the old bicycle, quilt, and crates for our picnic to the table settings, mirror tray and brass vases for the iconic Breakfast at Tiffany’s dinner table, the treasures from Wish Vintage Rentals brought us right back to the 1950s!
On the morning of the shoot, Katie of Blue Ribbon Wedding & Event Design created the floral details and styled the two scenes. She selected bright wildflowers for the picnic and soft, lush peonies to fill Wish Vintage Rental’s brass vessels. Laura Reynolds of Laura Reynolds Hair & Makeup Artistry enhanced Erin’s look with full brows and timelessly chic hair that made Erin really feel like Audrey! Laura gave David slicked back hair with a harsh part, common for gentlemen in the 1950s. Together, the vendor team created scenes both models enjoyed interacting with and a shoot full of inspiration for the vintage loving bride. Even our unexpected visitor, pup, felt comfortable in front of the camera!
