Today we’re excited to share a lovely Pittsburgh Anniversary session with you shot by Leeann Marie Photography!! Autumn and Bill celebrated their forth wedding anniversary with a portrait session around the gorgeous Pittsburgh area! Mellon Park is so beautiful and has so much to offer!!
Meet Autumn and Bill!
How long have you been married? What is your anniversary date? Where were you married?
We were married on June 9, 2012. We did this anniversary photo shoot for our 4th anniversary, to the date, on June 9th. We were married just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Greensburg)
What is your favorite date night?
We love going to see Indie movies and live music.
Why or how did you choose your anniversary session location? How is it relevant to your wedding or marriage?
I am also a photographer full time, and my husband is a photographer part time, so we just love photography and the chance to be in front of the camera is not something we get to do often. We figured it would be a unique way to spend our 4th anniversary! Especially since 4 is my lucky number, I wanted to have a special way to remember it.
The location we picked because it is an area that we shoot as photographers all the time, hang out all the time, and somewhat identify ourselves with! We thought it would be special to have our own photos taken there (in the city) since our wedding photos were all done in the country it provided a nice change to our original wedding pictures.
Also, take time to date each other. Don’t just get used to the daily grind and forget to impress and surprise each other.
Lastly, support each others dreams no matter what!
What is the hardest thing that you’ve gone through as a couple?
I am a photographer, and Bill is a composer for films. So being in creative fields is not always easy, but its worth it because it is our passions. So, building two businesses simultaneously has had its struggles, but we’ve always supported each other. When one is up, the other is down and vice versa. That helps us always balance out. What is the hardest thing about marriage for you guys?
Taking time off work to spend more time enjoying our marriage, basically balancing business with home life. We are as in love as we were when we met, we only wish we had more time to be together daily.
Why an anniversary session? What inspired you to do it?
We just wanted to capture our love at this time in our life. We still are in the phase of life that is that in between time, post-wedding, but pre-kids and thats a special time that I think we’ll someday look back on with fondness. The days that are just us alone and no one else. I think thats a special time in a marriage.
What are you looking forward to in your marriage in the next 10 years?
We hope to build a family, and watch our love grow deeper through raising a child.
We look forward to continuing to travel and see new places and cultures. We’ve been around the world in our 17 years together and do not want to stop the adventures.
Our businesses are our life, and a huge part of who we are together and individually. We can’t really say that there isn’t anything about life we’d change but certainly look forward to the unknown. I think we’re happy right now and just looking forward to seeing what tomorrow will bring. One thing we’ve learned in our time together is that you just never know whats around the next corner!
