Take a look!
How long have you been married? What is your anniversary date? Where were you married?
Married 28 September 2014 at Pond View Farm in Maryland.
How did you meet?
On a night neither of us wanted to go out we were both dragged out by friends, met at a local bar in New Jersey where KelleyAnn was from and I was stationed at the time.
Why or how did you choose your anniversary session location? How is it relevant to your wedding or marriage?
The location was a recommendation of our photographer. It is kind of rustic/country themed like our wedding which was on a farm in a post a beam barn.
What is your favorite date night?
We have a bucket list of things we try and do. We love trying new things and going to new places. Anything from country music concerts, going out to a nice steakhouse, taking the ATVs out to the mountains or just a simple night at home watching a movie.
What is your best marriage advice?
Communication, that doesn’t mean text each other every chance you get. Texting and talking throughout the day can cause problems, you want to have stuff to talk about when you see each other.
What is the most amazing thing about marriage for you guys?
Having an unconditional teammate for life. Someone that will always support you but tell you the truth at the same time.
Why an anniversary session? What inspired you to do it?
Something I forgot to mention in the date night portion is that Kelley loves wine so I would take her to wineries in New Jersey a lot as a date and we would go wine tasting. I became a fan and it’s something we enjoyed as alone time.
How has marriage made you grow as a person and/or couple?
It has made us more patient and more kind.
What are you looking forward to in your marriage in the next 10 years?
We would like to put roots down in one location and create our own family traditions.
From the photographer:
KelleyAnn + Jordan contacted me about doing a 1 year anniversary session for them and then she asks if they can bring cake. CAKE. YES PLEASE! Actually, it was cupcakes but you get the idea. Then there was a clock and some decorations from their wedding… and champagne. My 10 year old son, who was along with us for this one said “She looks like Cinderella, and I guess that makes Jordan her prince”. He couldn’t have said it better. So here it is, enjoy this beautiful fall themed 1 year anniversary session.
