Meet Brenna + Aaron!
How did you meet your spouse?
We actually graduated from the same high school, Aaron graduated a year before me in 2004. We knew of each other and sometimes hung out with a big group of friends. He actually came over to my apartment in college a few times for parties. It wasn’t until 2012 that we reconnected via Facebook. Aaron sent me a message about my son (who was 8 months at the time), we started texting each other more then we met up at a bar called the Local. After that we talked every day, all day and hung out as much as we could.
Tell us your proposal story!
Memorial day weekend of 2015, we had both our families over for a BBQ dinner and a bonfire. Aaron’s family lives in Texas so the weekend was special to start with his family being in town. On Friday night of that weekend was the dinner and while I was getting ready my mom told me that I “had to leave” for a little bit. So we went to Target for a half hour and when I came back to our house Aaron had all of our family in our living room & there was a video playing that he made up with all of our memories over the past year & half.
Then he surprised me in our backyard with a trial of pictures and quotes of us and he was standing at a tree that he wrapped lights & flowers around. And once I walked up to him he proposed to me. It was the cutest thing ever since he took so much time in planning it and preparing for it. The most special thing was that both of our families were there to witness it!
What is your favorite date night?
Our favorite date nights are just lounging around the house watching movies and just having alone time with one another.
What was the inspiration behind your wedding?
We really wanted an outdoor wedding that was fun but aesthetically pleasing. I loved the idea of having a rustic type of wedding but with a different twist, we incorporated golds, pale pinks & eucalyptus.
What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
My favorite part of our wedding day was walking down the aisle to my soon to be husband!
