We’re excited to share with you Nicole and Chris’s elegant, garden Green Valley Ranch Resort Nevada Wedding!! Nicole had a vision for her dream wedding and she got that and so much more!! KMH Photography didn’t miss a detail in photographing this beautiful day!
From the photographer:
Nicole and Chris were married on a beautiful Spring day at the luxurious Green Valley Ranch Resort just outside of the heart of Las Vegas. They chose to see each other for the first time as Nicole walked down the aisle. The planners and florist created an incredible scene for that moment, with an arbor draped in blush chiffon, gorgeous floral arrangements, and a wooden sign at the end of the aisle expressing “This is how our love story begins.” As they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife, guests showered the newlyweds with roses. We did sunset portraits of the couple in the gardens of the hotel, which were just lovely. Nicole was glowing with happiness, and they couldn’t wait to get to their reception in the chic Lobby Bar. The room was filled with wooden tables topped with pink and cream flowers, gold glitter chargers, tall candles, menus, DIY favors and surrounded by tall chiavari chairs. Mirrored walls made the room glow with candlelight. The couple performed a choreographed first dance, which was “I’ve Had The Time of My Life” from Dirty Dancing! The rest of the night was a celebration of life and love, and the whole room danced and took photos at the photobooth, in front of a large boxwood wall with cutout script letters spelling “Love.”
Nicole and Chris are truly, madly in love. After photographing dozens of weddings over the years, I know there’s a certain way that a couple looks into each other’s eyes that just tells you.. it’s just plain right.
How did you meet?
“Chris and I met in 2006. I had just moved to Las Vegas and a group of us girls went to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino to have dinner when I spotted someone that I recognized. I walked up to the craps tables, which always have at least three dealers present, and Chris was one of those dealers. He extended his hand to shake mine and introduced himself to me. Chris swears that it was love at first sight!
The way we actually really got to know each other though, was in 2010, 4 years later! I started working at the Hard Rock and I would see Chris in the halls at work. A mutual friend of ours organized a white water rafting trip and Chris was one of the passengers in my car. The ride to the river was 13 hours there and 13 hours back! The entire car ride we were all talking and communicating so well with each other and the best part, since Chris was sitting in the middle, we made some serious eye contact through the rearview mirror. It is history from there!
What do you love most about your husband?
Chris is such a blessing. He gives me a solid foundation to walk on. We continue to try hard to communicate with one another what we are feeling with respectful and careful words.
What was the inspiration behind your wedding?
We both have what you might call an old soul. When Chris and I first got engaged, a million ideas ran through my head. I wanted a garden wedding, I wanted vintage, and I especially I wanted dollies and lace. However, when I suggested my ideas to my fiancé, he hated it. He wanted nothing to do with tea cups and pearls like I had hoped he would. I knew deep down that I wanted something elegant but with a pop of color… I wanted things like butler passed hors d’oeuvres, chargers, chiavari chairs, water stations with fresh fruit and tons of flowers. I had a vision. I wanted elegance with a little garden vibe. We kept the garden feel throughout the reception space by adding in things like wooden Napa tables, and a huge boxwood escort card wall which doubled as a beautiful backdrop for the photo booth.
What was your favorite part of the wedding day?
When I think back to May 30, I just remember being surrounded by love. Even our recessional was All You Need Is Love by the Beatles. One of my favorite memories of the day was turning the corner with my dad and locking eyes with Chris. My dreams of a glamorous garden wedding became a reality. So I didn’t get dollies and lace. What I got was way better!
