Ohio Wedding | Aster & Olive Photography

Today we’re excited to share with you Amy and Gregory’s gorgeous Ohio Wedding shot by Aster & Olive Photography!! Amy and Gregory said their “I do’s” at Amy’s alma mater, Gilmour Academy!! They transformed the Dominican Dining Hall into a bright, vibrant backdrop for what Amy envisioned: a playful, modern and comfortable setting to celebrate her marriage to Gregory!

Meet Amy and Gregory!

How did you meet your spouse?
We met at a local running club – we were both getting ready to train for a marathon and bonded over coffee after our long runs.

Tell us your proposal story!
The proposal was low key, which fit our style. We were enjoying a Friday afternoon coffee in a cute town square when he asked.

What is your favorite date night?
Popcorn and a movie! If we’ve been able to go for a run together in the morning it is the perfect way to kick back and relax together.

What do you love most about your husband?
His charm and sense of humor. My favorite moments to look back on when he’s just said something funny that had us both curled up in stitches. That’s what first drew me to him too, but as I’ve gotten to know him I’ve also been amazed at how deeply kind and caring he is.

What is one piece of wedding planning advice you have for our readers?
Don’t stress the small stuff – it will all come together, so make sure to enjoy the process as much as possible. And if you can, hire a planner. Our planner (Katie Foulds from Kirkbrides) was an absolute lifesaver.

What was the inspiration behind your wedding?
We wanted a modern, whimsical feel – a touch of Kate Spade brightness with hints of navy and gold.

How has marriage made you grow as a person and/or couple?
You learn how you work together more as a unit, as husband and wife. It’s a powerful bond that brings you closer together right away.

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
My husband is from Greece, and for the reception we played a traditional Greek song that got everyone up and dancing – it was nine minutes of fun that left everyone smiling but exhausted!

What are you looking forward to in your marriage in the next 10 years?
Getting more time together to get settled and just “be”.  Time always seems to be escaping, but we want more of the good stuff in the next 10 years – getting to enjoy each others company.
